Children’s Christmas Service

Each year, students from Shepherd of the Hills take part in our Children’s Christmas Service.  This year, the service will take place on Monday, December 20, at 6:30.  This is one of the highlights of the school year where students lead telling the story of Jesus’ birth through recitation and singing.  If your child will be unable to make this service, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible.

Students that play musical instruments also have the opportunity to play before the service. They will need to pick our a religious Christmas piece with their teacher. If you child would like to participate, please let Mr. Vogel know so we can plan accordingly.

Upcoming Dates

Dec 7th and 9th  – Basketball Practice

December 19th – Fireside Carols and Hot Chocolate Bar at 5:30.

December 20 – Children’s Christmas Service at 6:30

December 21 – Christmas Party – Students dismissed at 12:00.

Christmas Party

The last day of school before Christmas break, December 21, the classrooms will have their Christmas party.  Teachers will communicate with parents if there is any type of gift exchange and plan for treats.  Normally, we would go caroling in the afternoon to elderly facilities or to people’s homes that are unable to come to church for Christmas.  With COVID still around, and Christmas plan with familly around the corner, we will NOT do caroling this year.  Hopefully, we can continue this tradition next year.  We will instead have a half day of school on December 21, and the students will be dismissed at noon.

Basketball Practice

This week there is basketball practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30.

Report Cards

Last week report cards were sent home either via email or paper version.  If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher.

Christmas Break

Our Christmas break starts on Wednesday, December 22, and school resumes on Wednesday, January 5.
